October has been pretty festive around these parts. Instead of the traditional Oktoberfest beer, we have been celebrating with caffeine. Coffee guru Jason Card from Journeyman Coffee organized two consecutive coffee pop-ups, one on Oct. 9th and one on Oct. 16th. If you aren’t able to make it out, be sure to follow Jason’s activity on his cool new website.
While the coffee has been brewing on the cafe side of the building, something else has been brewing on the studio side. Local FAMU grad turned international touring musician B.K. Jackson has been finishing up his album. Stay tuned for B.K.’s album release, and follow his tour schedule on his website.
In the mood for some cool live music to help bring Fall to our relentlessly hot city? We’ve got some relief! On October 21st hip hop curator Rob Ohtis will be presenting an evening of performances from an array of local talent. Come out and catch a mini showcase of beats, rhymes, and creative minds.
On October 28th we are pleased to host a special full band performance from Tallahassee’s own Langtry. Come catch Patrick McKinney and his fellow music makers before they head back to Athens, Ga to finish their forthcoming album. These shows don’t happen often, so don’t miss out.
